Job description
A transplant coordinator assists in the pre-transplant evaluation, as well as the post-op, follow-up of transplanted patients as well as their donors. He/she can provide education to the living donor & recipient regarding the transplant process. They are also on-call for organ procurement/donor offers as well as for patient concerns. Assists in managing the clinical care of the patient or donor in the pre & post transplant phase of evaluation for organ transplant. Reviews diagnostic tests, laboratory work, and other pertinent information in clinic and before medical review board. Coordinates care of the patient or donor pre and post-transplant, triages calls, and assists in medical and medication management. Available to assist with procurement of organs if applicable
